What is Titan
KeyMail Server?
|
General description of
The Titan Key™
Titan KeyMail Server™ runs on a Mandrake Linux 9.2 Kernel 2.85 platform and operates as
a "Primary MX" mail relay which means that it is the first server
contacted when others try to send email to you. |
|
No client software
The Titan Key operates
at the SMTP server level so there is no software to install on any PCs.
This greatly simplifies administration and lowers your maintenance
costs.
|
|
Firewall-like
features
The Titan Key can be
seen as an "Email Firewall" in that it will accept or reject email
according to policies. Each collection of policies apply to a given
email address which in-turn belong to a given user. So in effect, a
specific user's collection of policies will determine exactly how The
Titan Key will accept or reject mail for that user.
|
|
Email server
functions
In another manner, The
Titan Key can be seen as a regular email server in that it accepts email
and also sends email. It also keeps track of email addresses that it can
accept email for. However, it works with email servers and does
not replace their other functions.
|
|
Web Interface
Both end-users and
administrators control The Titan Key via a Web-based "dashboard" that
can be accessed via Internet Explorer version 5 or greater.
|
|
Supports Multiple
Domains
The Titan Key can
provide anti-spam benefits for mutiple domains, limited only by the
specific hardware configuration.
|
|
Allows Individual
User Subscription
Although The Titan Key
becomes your domain's "Primary MX", meaning that it is the first server
that accepts all outside email, it does NOT force itself upon all the
email addresses for their domain. The Titan Key can protect as few as 1
or as many as all the email addresses for a given domain.
Users that want The
Titan Key protection merely register via a Web form and use their
existing email account POP3 server password. |
